This past Friday, April 30th, Jared & I were sealed to Megan in the Provo Temple. For the past 6 months, whenever I would think about her being sealed to us, I would have to wipe away the tears. My eyes did not fail me on Friday. I had to work really hard not to cry like a baby (no pun intended... well, actually, it was intended). I did cry many tears of joy. I really couldn't help it.
It was a very special experience. We didn't invite a lot of people; mostly just immediate family and a few close friends. I would love to elaborate on how I felt and what it all means to me, but it is too precious to share on a public website. What I will and can say, though, is that Megan looked so beautiful. She was perfect. When she was brought into the room, she truly was our angel. She looked at Jared & I the whole time, back & forth. It was as if she knew exactly what was going on. What a special day.
And, of course, how could this be a complete blog post without a bunch of pictures? Enjoy...
Little Megan in her Temple dress. She was ridiculously tired by the time we got outside to take pictures, but she never complained. She's such a trooper!
Adoring our Eternity.
Here we changed in to some matching green clothes. (I was hoping it would be warm and Spring-y, but it was cold and windy).
One more.
Unfortunately, we forgot to round everyone together for a picture after the Sealing. But, thanks to those of you who came to share in our special day. And, in case you were wondering, I didn't include any pictures with the Temple background because I look fat in all of them, ha ha. But, it's the truth.
Thanks to Ann Marie for taking all the photos! You're so great!

PS: Thanks for your comment on Bugg's blog.
I have been waiting for a post on how things went. I am so happy for you guys! I would love to hear more about it sometime!
One of the sister missionaries in our ward now has three african grandbabies. One of them was given a pair of yellow flip flops for her birthday and she commented that yellow looked so cute on brown feet -- then someone else made the comment, brown skin looks great in everything. And it's true! She looks gorgeous in her white dress with her dark skin and adorable hair. Cute pics :)
how exciting. I love that we can be sealed. it is really neat to choose to be a family forever.
CONGRATS!!! Now she is really yours forever. I'm so happy for you three. You all look so happy

I looked first at the first picture you have of Megan in tat beautiful white dress and my first two thoughts were:
1) Wow is she a beautiful baby.
2) She looks like she knows the significance of the day.
It was interesting to read that you thought the same thing when you were in the sealing room. What a special experience it must have been. I was there in spirit :)
What beautiful family pictures. Will you email them to me in a large file size so I can print one?
I love these pictures! And it makes me so joyful when I think that Megan is in our family for eternity. Wish I'd been able to be there! I love you Harmony!
